Nokia Bicycle Charger
Nokia introduced at Amsterdam bicycle charger, targeting especially consumers with limited access to electricity. According to the company, Leo McKay, the device goes on sale at price of 15 €
Nokia says that a 10 minute bike ride at 6mph (10kph) will produce enough power for 28 minutes of talk time or 37 hours of standby. It generates electricity via a dynamo connected to a bike wheel, which is fed into a charger that can connected to a phone via the standard 2mm charging port.
The kit consists of a Nokia Bicycle Charger (DC-14) and four reusable cable ties (to attach cables to the bicycle), Nokia Phone Holder for Bicycle (CR-124) and a Bottle Dynamo (also known as a side wall dynamo). The Nokia Phone Holder comes with a transparent bag to protect your phone from dirt and weather. The phone holder is rubberized to protect your phone from vibrations. The holder and dynamo can be self-installed using a combination of cable ties, nuts and bolts. and a Foldable user guide with line drawings and depiction of key use cases and warnings.
