Aruna shields poses like kate winslet
According to the latest buzz, British actress Aruna Shields, who made her Bollywood debut opposite Vivek Oberoi in the film “Prince”, poses a nude scene (Titanic Style) which would be performing in front of camera without clothes in Pravesh Bhardwaj’s upcoming film “Mr. Singh and Mrs. Mehta”
From a desi Bond babe, Shields has transformed herself into a girl-next-door from a small town in this film.
Besides Aruna, film also features actors like Prashant Narayanan, Naved Aslam and Brit-Asian actress Lucy Hassan. The film is written and directed by Pravesh Bhardwaj and produced by Manu S Kumaran and Tutu Sharma and is slated to be released on June 25.
The latest news is that Censor Board has passed nude scenes in “Mr. Singh and Mrs. Mehta” in which the actress has done some torrid love making scenes with actor Prashant Narayanan but with a “A” certificate.
“The board understood that the character of Neera Singh deciding to be a muse for a naked painting is the turning point for the character,” said Pravesh.
Though before getting it passed, the director Bhardwaj had to show the film to several revising committees of the censor board, but finally he won, as even James Cameroon’s iconic flick ‘Titanic’ had been pruned of its more sexy scenes posed by Kate Winslet.
“Aruna is from London. Since skin show is an integral part of acting in the West, she was not too bothered about the nude sequences,” says Bhardwaj.
Unlike other foreign actresses who end up being one-film-wonders in Bollywood, with Mr Singh Mrs Mehta, Aruna Shields is definitely here to stay.
