Rangoli Ranaut – Acid throwing case
The men behind the vicious acid attack on kangna ranaut’s sister, Rangoli, have finally been sentenced. The CJM Court today sentenced two persons to five years of imprisonment.
The two accused Avinash alias Chhotu and along with another accomplice Prem Singh are alleged to have thrown acid on the face of Rangoli, sister of cine star Kangana Ranaut and her roommate Vijaya Chublan on October 5 in 2006. While Rangoli received serious burn injuries on her face and body, Vijaya received minor burn injuries. The two were at their rented room in Karanpur locality of the city. Both the girls were rushed to Doon Hospital from where they were shifted to another private hospital.
The two accused were later arrested and the prosecution charge sheeted the two under sections 120-B, 326 and 506 of the IPC for hatching conspiracy, physical assault and intimidation.
Kangana said ,”while we cannot get back the years my sister lost, but I’m happy to see that the people behind this have been punished”
