My Name Is Khan
According to latest reports Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions will reportedly announce at 7 pm today that  ‘My name is Khan’ is not going to be release in Maharashtra as sheduled on 12th Feb or not.

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief, Raj Thackeray has slammed Shiv Sena for the protest over Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming movie, ‘My Name Is Khan’.

Due to the ongoing war of words between ShivSena and Shahrukh, the film release might be postponed.

Groups of Sena activists were also seen protesting and shouting slogans in Kanjurmarg, Bandra, Khar and other parts of the city even as police promised tough measures to prevent any untoward incident during the release of the film.

But no one’s taking chances. Cinema owners are cagey about whether they will screen the film. All the single screen owner & fun cinema’s of mumbai has said that they will not release the film on 12th Feb, ‘The security situations is not suitable for the release of the film’ is the reason.

If in case the film my name is khan doesn’t release across the maharashtra state on 12th Feb it will reportedly suffer a loss of 40-45 crores approx.

The movie Produced under Shahrukh Khan owned production house Red Chillies Entertainment and Dharma Productions is  directed by Karan Johar. In the film, Shah Rukh Khan plays a man with Asperger’s Syndrome who is a victim of racial bias in the U.S. in the aftermath of the Sept.11 attacks.

As the controversy over Shah Rukh’s comments snowballed, the actor said he was “saddened” by it and that it was “highly unhealthy, undemocratic and insensitive” on the Sena’s part.
