India beat Pakistan 4-1 at hockey World Cup
Sandeep Singh scored twice as India beat arch-rival Pakistan 4-1 in their hockey World Cup opening clash at the Major Dhyan Chand Stadium.
Sandeep Singh scored two goals, while Shivendra Singh and Prabhjot Singh scored one goal each. Sandeep Singh was declared ‘Man of the Match’ with this victory, India climbs to the top of the table in Pool B.
With a win under their belt, India will now face Australia, who lost 2-3 at the hands of England earlier in the day, while Pakistan will take on Spain next.
