China in Delhi Auto Expo
CHINA is ready to invade the upcoming auto expo in New Delhi with its cheap and innovative products after doing the same in markets world over.
5 January 2010, Tenth edition of global auto fare to be held at Pragati Maidan is the day for China to Jump aggressively for participation in spare parts markets.
China showing its interest in Auto Market of India has booked maximum floor space for auto spare part among all international participants which comes out to be 5000 square metres, the total space alloted to auto component makers is 38000 square metres.
Facts and figures provide the data that china occupied two and a half times the German Firms, which is the next biggest foreign entry with 2000 square metres booking.
India is marked out by China for a serious play with a strategy which can be observed by the aggressive presence at Auto Expo.
Words of Jayant Davar,Vice President of Automotive Components Manufacturers Association of India(ACMA) ” India auto Component makers do have apprehensions as the chinese industry is a volume oriented one, and some chunk of that will be directed to India”.
Words of Vishnu Mathur, Executive Director of ACMA “Ours being an open market we cannot restrict the chinese from doing business here, but if we notice a case of dumping we would request the government to implement the anti dumping duties”.
