Miss Universe 2009
Miss Venezuela Stefania Fernandez won the Miss Universe 2009 beauty pageant held in Nassau, Bahamas on august 23, 2009. The new Miss Universe is an 18 year old beauty who is of Russian, Ukrainian, Galician and Polish origin. Fernandez, who had been criticized for her “off” styling during the 3 weeks of the contest, struggled to maintain the legacy of Venezuelan beauty queens worldwide.The 18-year-old Virgo enjoys tennis and swimming as her hobbies.
Miss Domincan Republic, Ada Aimee De La Cruz was crowned the first runner up title and the title of second runner-up went to Miss Kosovo Gona Dragusha though Miss India Universe Ekta Choudhry may have failed to make it to the Top 15 at the Miss Universe 2009 contest, but her parents remain proud of her as she put in her best.
Miss Universe 2008,venezuelan, Dayana Mendoza placed the glittering $120,000 crown on 18-year-old Stefania Fernandez who looked pretty in a red evening gown. Dayana Mendoza who is now free to do her first topless shoot.
I was surprised that it is a “back to back” crown for Venezuela but no surprise for the quality of the winner.
