Harassed by Someone, Call Toll Free no. 1090
Many times it happens that women and girls receiving lewd phone calls or e-mails are not able to share the problem with their family members out of fear or shyness. If you are being bothered by someone, sending you lewd SMS’s or some obscene MMS’s on your mobile then you should take an immediate help.
This help is being provided by the Delhi police that have launched the unique helpline 27894455 and a Toll free number 1090. Any harassed woman can expect help without even lodging a formal complaint.
An objectionable SMS or MMS received by you is just to be forwarded on 9911135446. You just have to drop your contact number and the police will get in touch with you. The complaint can even be Faxed or Emailed at 27292523 and acp-sit-dl@nic.in.
The project is being looked after by a special investigation team (SIT) of the Crime Branch of Delhi Police.
This is a great opportunity for all those who have been kept under pressure by their family members for not to lodge the complaint. For such and all others, if you want then the identity will be kept confidential and they wont be asked to come to a police station to register a case.
