Telephone number 1090 is the important number for senior citizens who are above 60 years of age. One cannot escape the fact that senior citizens are at a much greater risk today than even before.
It is the number which senior citizens can use for asking for anything and everything under the sky. 1090 is helpline launched by the State government in 2005. Elder Line is a Special service that will take care of the physical and mental well-being of senior citizens any time. There is a caring cop on the other end of the line who listens and counsels them on their problem and can even coax their children to mend their ways and take care of their parents. This service is a helpful for senior citizens who are living alone and this Special service will take care of the physical and mental well-being.
