Slumdog Millionaire bags 4 Golden Globes awards !!

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association devoted four Golden Globe Awards to Slumdog Millionaire

Slumdog Millionaire  won Best Screenplay and Best Musical Score, firming up its prospects for the Academy Awards. After winning the Critics Award, music director AR Rahman became the first indian to win a Golden Globe for his score for the film.

Danny Boyle won Best Director award, while writer Simon Beaufoy also won an award for the film. Slumdog Millionaire was also named the best film.

It received such tremendous international appreciation with the four Golden Globe awards

Featuring a generally unknown cast in a story set on the streets of Mumbai, Slumdog Millionaire knocked off four other nominated films featuring such stars as Brad Pitt, Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio.

The film tells the heart warming story of an 18-year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai who becomes a contestant on the Hindi version of “Who Wants to be A Millionaire?” game show.

Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan was in Los Angeles at the Golden Globes award ceremony as a  presenter.He attended the ceremony along with good friend Karan Johar and wife Gauri Khan .SRK will be the first Indian ever to present an award at the prestigious Golden Globe Awards :)
