John Abraham bares all in New York
After stripping down to the barest minimum on the beach for Dostana, John Abraham now has been reportedly said to be bared all for a torture scene in his next film New York relating to the tale of friendship and terrorism by director Kabir Khan. John has done up with complete nude shot for a prison scene.
After Kunal Kapoor in Rang De Basanti and Ranbir Kapoor in Saawariya who did bare-back scenes, John is the third actor on the list in the recent times to drop away all his inhibitions.Although the bare back shots of Rang De Basanti and Saawariya were deleted from the reel but Johns nude scene is set to remain in New York, which is slated for a January release.The promos of New York show John as a resident of the metropolis. John and Neil Nitin Mukesh happen to be the best buddies, but after the 9/11 attacks, the duo is picked up by the American cops on the suspicion of terrorism and are tortured in custody.
A source set close to the project said: Its a prison sequence in the US where John, who is suspected to be a terrorist, is denuded of all dignity. Thats how the spirit of an American prisoner is brought broken when they want you to confess of being a terrorist.You are made to eat, sleep, urinate and defecate in the same room. Then they begin to strip your dignity down ..until you are left in the cold, dingy cell completely naked. This sequence was enacted by John.When briefed about the sequence, John immediately agreed to do the scene. Apparently not hesitating he gave the shot yet was quite traumatised at the end of it,the source added.
You’ll just have to see the film to know the nature of the scene were the words marked by the director Kabir Khan when John refused to comment on the scene.
While the scene is already grabbing headlines, director Kabir Khan is keeping mum about the same and says that the viewers would have to go watch the flick to know the significance of Johns bare-all.
