Barack Obama Presidential Oath/Inauguration Day

The swearing-in ceremony or The Presidential Oath of Office of US President Barack Obama, the 44th US President, will take place on January 20, 2009. According to the United States Constitution, the new President has to take the oath or affirmation on Inauguration Day.
Barack Obama’s inauguration is set to cost more than $ 150 m making it the most expensive swearing-in ceremony in US history. It’s only after the oath has been taken that the President can enter on the execution of the office of presidency.
Like all preceding US presidents, Barack Obama will take the US Presidential Oath:
“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”
The swearing-in ceremony and the oath taking usually happens at the United States Capitol in Washington DC.
After the swearing-in ceremony, President Obama will give his presidential inaugural address. The practice of inaugural addresses started with the Presidential Oath of Office of the first US President George Washington in April 30, 1789.
After the inaugural address, President Obama will be taken for the Inaugural luncheon, traditionally held at the Statuary Hall in the United States Capitol
Officials estimate 10,000 charters buses will arrive in Washington with roughly 500,000 passengers. Tickets will be provided free of charge to all invited guests. This event is not open to the general public.
U.S. intelligence services said such a high profile event would be perfect for a terrorist attack, but they have no specific intelligence that anything has been planned..
Barack Obama is a very special person since he is the first black president of the United States of America. his ability as a president is also very good and his plans for economic recovery is a good one.
Barack Obama may be a charismatic leader but somehow his economic policies are not that great in my own opinion. But still i am thankful that a Obama is the current president of the unitied states.
